Texas Hold'em Poker: Easy or Challenging

Texas Hold’em is the most popular variation of poker. No one is very sure about the origin of this variation, but it is widely played due to its simple rules and fun factor. Texas Hold’em cannot be categorized under the panel of difficult games but yes it does need a lot of practice. The main elements of the game are tricks and strategies. The win at a hand is determined by how well you have studied the game and how well you can study your opponents’ cards.

Pot limit Omaha, another variation of poker, is comparatively more difficult the Texas Holdem Poker Online. Texas Hold’em uses 2 cards each for the contestants and 5 cards as community cards. All you have to do is make the best hand using 5 cards in total, from your hole cards and the community cards. Now the winner is decided based on the hand rankings of Hold’em poker. Ideally, there are 10 hand rankings and are in their order of their decreasing ranking, viz:

Royal flush: the mightiest and the rarest hand.  A, K, Q, J, 10, all of the same suit.

Straight flush : Five cards in a sequence, all in the same suit.

Four of a kind : All four cards of the same rank.

Full house : Three of a kind with a pair

 Flush : Any five cards of the same suit, but not in a sequence.

Straight : Five cards in a sequence, but not of the same suit.

Three of a kind : Three cards of the same rank.

Two pair : Two different pairs.

Pair :Two cards of the same rank.

 High Card: When you haven't made any of the hands above, the highest card plays.

The person, who makes a hand of higher ranking, sweep the pot.

It would be unwise to say that Hold’em is not challenging. Like every other sport, Texas Hold’em has its own set of challenges that every payer faces at the felt. The biggest challenge is to gauge your opponent’s mind. Texas Hold’em, like every other variation of poker, is not won by pure luck. You have to apply your skills and inherent qualities to make a commendable win at the felt. You will have to know, how to bluff your opponents, trick them into pouring in more wealth into the pot, restrain them from folding if you have a great hand and also when to call, check, raise and re-raise. Unless and until you become thorough with behavorial science and the art of reading people’s mind, it’s nearly impossible to win a marginal amount of wealth.
