The 70^th Republic Day 2019 on 26^th January shall don the theme of ‘NARI SHAKTI’ (Women Empowerment) and shall be presided over by the (Hon.) President of India at its helm. While in the 12^th and 13^th century, the Egyptians were enthusiastic about playing cards and 16^th century Persians invented Ganjifa (also known as a set of traditionally hand-painted treasure cards). Also, there was a historic and popular Persian game named “As Nas” which was similar to poker. The history of poker is much more than what meets the eye. Around the same time, a Spanish card game “Primero” became popular. This game involved three cards being dealt, to all those players who shall bluff or raise bets while having poor hands. This instance of bluffing in a card game is similar to that of in poker.
